सुबह का इंतजार कौन करे 

चलो, शाम के धुंधलके की अगवानी कर डालें

मन में संकल्प करें 

आओ फिर एक बार प्रीतम का हाल पूंछें 

सुख की बधाई क्या दुख में ही हंस डालें

मुट्ठी भर तृप्ति 

और कंधों पर असमर्थता का बोझ धरे 

अकेले सूनी राहों पर कौन चले 

बंद हुई बारिश को फिर आने को कौन कहे 

आओ चलो आंखों के सागर से 

थोड़ा जल दान करें

इतनी प्रतीक्षा भी सुख के प्रासाद की 

अपलक पलकों में दीपक जलाकर 

राहों में लिपटे अंधेरे भगाकर

आहट पर मन के वातायन कौन खोले 

इतने निमंत्रण पर अलसाए नींद को क्यों तोड़ें 

आओ चलो द्वीप में घुस मनमानी कर डालें

छत पर मंडराती गोरी बांहों की 

आंखों के तिरछे नुकीले जादू की 

कब तक इन रूप के तारों पर हम दौड़ें 

घर की बातों पर बार-बार क्यों उलझें 

आओ चौराहे पर नग्न नृत्य कर डालें

छोड़ो रात की आस 

चलो दिन में ही गठबंधन कर डालें

Communion

Why wait for the morning?

Let's welcome the evening's twilight.

Let's resolve in our hearts:

Let's inquire about our beloved once again.

Why congratulate him on his happiness? 

Let's laugh at the sadness also.

A handful of satisfaction

And shoulders burdened with helplessness.

Who walks alone on desolate paths?

Who will tell the rain that has stopped to come again?

Come, let's donate a little water from the ocean of our eyes.

Waiting so long for the palace of happiness

Lighting a lamp in unblinking eyelids

Dispelling the darkness that engulfs the paths

Who will open the windows of the mind 

at the sound of a sound?

Why break the lazy sleep at such an invitation?

Come, let's enter the island and do as we please.

Of the fair arms hovering over the roof

Of the slanted, pointed magic of the eyes

How long should we chase these stars of beauty?

Why dwell on domestic matters again and again?

Let's dance naked at the crossroads.

Let's give up hope for the night.

Let's tie the knot during the day.
