177. When you come here to stay

Yesterday, I visited a friend who introduced me to his friend, who was sitting with him.

Later, that friend invited us over to his farmhouse for a drink.

That was about 7 kilometers away, but, although reluctantly, I followed him.

It was a large, beautifully landscaped complex, and he had a big two-story house at the far end.

When I entered the gate of this beautifully decorated house, the following eight lines written there caught my eye.

I enjoyed reading it and took note. Read those lines here -

Our house is so much brighter,

When you come here to stay.

Our troubles seem much lighter,

And sad thoughts fly away.

We are sorry when you leave us,

We hoped you would remain.

Now we are longing for the next time,

You visit us again.
