Rumi is a significant figure in Sufism; his ideas and writings have greatly influenced Persian literature and mystical poetry. He founded the Islamic brotherhood known as the Mevlevi Order.  

Sharing one of his short poems titled “Window” - 

Your body is away from me
but there is a window open
from my heart to yours.

From this window, like the moon
I keep sending news secretly.
