19. We don’t see what we don’t want to see
most of my life
I’ve smiled not
because I was happy
and content
but to hide my pain
most of my life
I’ve done
what I was made to do
not what I wanted to do
most of my life I spoke with
my brutal honesty
but what is most remembered is
the brutality
not my honesty
now when they speak, they say
never trust people
only your instinct
I’ve been searching it
somewhere it seems I have lost it
on the way to fulfill
my everyday needs
but most of the time
we don’t see
what we don’t want to see
