सुबह का इंतजार कौन करे 

चलो, 

शाम के धुंधलके की अगवानी कर डालें

मन में संकल्प करें 

आओ फिर एक बार 

सुख की बधाई क्या 

दुख में ही हंस डालें

मुट्ठी भर तृप्ति और कंधों पर 

असमर्थता का बोझ धरे 

अकेले सूनी राहों पर कौन चले 

बंद हुई बारिश को 

आने को कौन कहे 

आओ चलो आंखों के सागर से 

थोड़ा जल दे डालें

इतनी प्रतीक्षा भी सुख के प्रासाद की 

अपलक पलकों में दीपक जलाकर 

राहों में लिपटे अंधेरे भगाकर

आहट पर 

मन के वातायन कौन खोले 

इतने निमंत्रण पर अलसाई नींद क्यों तोड़ें 

आओ चलो मनमानी कर डालें

छत पर मंडराती गोरी बांहों की 

आंखों के तिरछे नुकीले जादू की 

कब तक इन रूप के तारों पर हम दौड़ें 

आओ चौराहे पर नग्न नृत्य कर डालें

छोड़ो रात की आस 

चलो दिन में ही गठबंधन कर डालें

(why wait until morning 

let's embrace the evening's twilight 

let's resolve in our hearts 

to come once again

why congratulate on happiness 

let's find humor in sorrow

why walk alone on deserted roads 

with a little bit of satisfaction 

and the weight of helplessness 

on the shoulders

why ask the rain 

that has stopped 

Let us share some of the water 

from the ocean of eyes

waiting this long for the happiness, 

lighting a lamp in the blinking eyes, 

driving away the darkness 

that engulfs our conscience

why open the windows of the mind 

why break the lazy sleep 

at an invitation

Come on, let's go out

and do as we please

how long will we chase 

the stars of beauty, and

powerful magic of the eyes 

why bother dwelling on matters

repeatedly following the protocol

let's dance naked at the crossroads

let's give up hope for the night 

let's tie the knot during the day
