आपूर्यमाणमचलप्रतिष्ठं समुद्रमापः प्रविशन्ति यद्वत् । 

तद्वत्कामा यं प्रविशन्ति सर्वे स शान्तिमाप्नोति न कामकामी ॥

Innumerable rivers flow into the ocean, which receives them and remains calm and peaceful. 

Similarly, desires enter into the tranquil muni who remains calm and peaceful. 

This peace cannot be attained by the kama-kami-the man who runs after desires.
