63. why humanity has never been at peace on this beautiful Earth

Religion requires a crowd. There is no space for an individual. And that is the danger. It might seem strange to listen and read, but that’s the truth.

And people often feel anonymous in large crowds, which can diminish their sense of responsibility and accountability.

As the group size increases, self-awareness rapidly declines, resulting in deindividuation and a diffusion of responsibility.

Even emotions often diminish. However, being part of a crowd can also amplify emotional responses, such as hostility, excitement, or anger.

Every day, scenes of a mob murdering innocent people unfold. Amidst this chaos, our ‘dynamic and visionary’ Prime Minister, who genuinely means well, discusses Digital India. It almost feels surreal.

Christopher Hitchens discusses religion, and I quote him:

“Religion is an inherent part of human nature and central to our cultural and intellectual heritage. It served as our earliest form of literature, primarily through texts, and represented our first effort at cosmology, aiming to comprehend our place in the universe. This marked our initial attempt to grasp the cosmos.”

Given its deep roots, this issue should not be treated lightly.

Religion is far more than a cow or a sacred scripture, where even a small part or a leaf can cause chaos.

All events are carried out supposedly in the name of religion, but no positive outcomes can be genuinely credited to it.

This is the main reason why humanity has never been at peace on this beautiful Earth, and it probably won't be in the future.
