160. Even Gaddafi was once correct

No matter who we discuss, each individual displays a certain kind of genius at least once in their lifetime.

That is what sets humans apart.

Libyan leader Muammer Gaddafi was an advocate for women's liberation. Three female bodyguards always flanked the flamboyant Libyan leader.

While sharing his views on what went wrong with the dress code, from the time Adam and Eve covered their private parts with fig leaves, he said that Satan was the one who suggested to Adam and Eve that they cover up with leaves after he succeeded in having God throw them out of the Garden of Eden.

According to him, clothes are the work of Satan. He invented them, and we should not give them too much thought.

Denouncing the restrictions imposed by Islam on the way women dress, Gaddafi said: “The clothes we wear today are not those that existed at the onset of Islam. Everything changes, and religion must adapt to the changes of our era; otherwise, it will no longer be valid.”

Whatever he was, this view should be appreciated coming from a Muslim.
