250. Kans has always been defeated
In Hindu mythology, there is a story about King Kansa of Mathura, the only Hindu ruler known to have imprisoned his own father to take the throne. When his sister Devaki married Vasudeva, a divine voice warned Kansa that their eighth son would be his undoing.
Filled with fear, Kansa tried to kill Devaki, but Vasudeva begged him to spare her, promising to surrender all their children. Kansa then imprisoned them and killed each of their children, but their eighth son, Lord Krishna, was secretly swapped with a girl who ultimately defeated Kansa.
Although the situation in the story above and what we see in West Asia are not similar, the core message of my narration is to illustrate how a war against Iran was initiated as a preemptive strike. Similar to Kans, who imprisoned his sister and brother-in-law after hearing a divine voice, the warning in this case came from Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
He is certainly not divine; rather, he is responsible for the deaths of 76,000 people and counting and the destruction of a culture, with a clear intent to wipe out another.
Here, the fear was of an Iranian retaliation against US assets someday, and an imminent threat to Israel, again, someday in the future, and certainly not an imminent threat. So, the latter decided not to have a powerful country in the region.
This war is therefore aimed at deterring an Iranian threat, destroying Iran's missile and military capabilities, preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, securing Iran's oil resources, and achieving regime change by installing a loyal figure from New York who has been waiting there for D-Day for the past 48 years.
Now there's a twist in the story. It has two Kans, not one. But no more about the story, as it is self-explanatory.
The conflict happened even though Iranian and some US officials denied claims that Iran was planning an attack. The International Atomic Energy Agency noted that, despite Iran's ambitious nuclear program, there was no evidence of an organized nuclear weapons effort at the start of the 2026 conflict.
The present situation is like this: After escalating tensions between the US and Iran, Israel is busy seizing Lebanese territory, as Netanyahu announced, “I have just instructed to further expand the existing security buffer zone.” For him, victory over Iran will be a dessert after having a belly-busting meal in Lebanon.
War has always been an insult to civilization. But there have been monsters and demons born to initiate war and become instruments in killing millions of people across past centuries. The current situation in West Asia has become very dire. A man sitting 6356 miles away from the war zone is threatening to wipe out a civilization by 0000 hrs GMT Wednesday.
He warned that “a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will,” if Tehran does not accept his demands, amid a wave of bombing by Israel’s military, which launched even before the deadline, “a wide-scale wave of strikes targeting dozens of infrastructure sites.”
The man is ready to carry out targeted strikes on Iran’s power plants and bridges, aiming to disrupt the country’s civil infrastructure, which could leave 14 million innocent civilians without power, showing no concern for the potential war crime involved.
I'll be back to write in about 8 hours if I can get some sleep. I worry it might be a sleepless night for many around the world, and the night could be as dark and gloomy as it was in the month of Bhradhapad thousands of years ago.
Despite everything, I am confident that humanity and civilization will prevail over the cruel, expansionist, and extortionist force.
