186. Now the madman in the White House turns attention to Cuba

Cuba is facing ongoing fuel shortages and frequent blackouts because the United States is preventing any further fuel shipments from reaching the country.

According to the data consultancy Kpler, only one oil shipment has arrived this year—84,900 barrels from Mexico. Based on current reserves, if no additional tankers arrive, Cuba will run out of fuel within the next three weeks.

Since the US forcibly removed Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela, a traditional ally, has provided no supplies. Other allies, such as Russia and Algeria, have been even less cooperative.

Donald Trump signed an executive order imposing additional tariffs on countries that export oil to Cuba. The White House stated that the measure is intended to protect American citizens and interests from a regime described as offering a safe haven for transnational terrorist groups, such as Hezbollah and Hamas.

Mexico’s president, Claudia Sheinbaum, warned that Donald Trump’s plan to impose new tariffs on oil exports to Cuba could trigger a far-reaching humanitarian crisis, directly affecting hospitals, food supplies, and other essential services for the Cuban people. Mexico has been the top oil supplier since 2025, surpassing Russia and Venezuela.

As usual, China expressed its concern and opposition to the United States’ actions and promised support and assistance, but it has traditionally purchased oil from Cuba, which the Cuban government has received as aid from Venezuela.

Trump, using a false and unfounded justification, plans to weaken Cuba's economy by imposing tariffs on nations that trade oil with Cuba.

Trump is trying to suffocate Cuba and its economy with his fascist, criminal, and genocidal approach. But Americans will have to pay the price in the very near future.

Recently, the Trump administration reiterated its threats of unilateral military strikes against Mexican drug cartels amid the ongoing renegotiation of the trillion-dollar USMCA North American free trade agreement between the two countries.

The US president is indeed increasing the pressure to overthrow the communist government in Havana.

And in Cuba, 12-hour daily blackouts are now common. Many Cuban families face difficulties cooking, struggle to obtain gas canisters, and often resort to charcoal.

And the madman in White House has just announced, “Cuba will be failing pretty soon.”

How far America will go in the next three years is uncertain; only time will reveal it. Nevertheless, there's no doubt that the old days will not return for America. The good old days! The powerful nation!
